Day 29 30 in 30, Baby Texas Longhorn cow painting

Oh boy.. my painting end of month count is embarrassing..  Sure didn't make 30 paintings but I did paint most days till this week when a cold hit the family.. so I guess my last one for the month.   I actually completed this a few days ago but hadn't posted here yet with all the chaos in the house.

Painted from my friend Deb @ Faith Love Hope Ranch in Oregon.. one of her baby Texas Longhorns

Day 13... in the 30 in 30 painting challenge

wow I'm behind on this challenge!  This is my 3rd painting.  I'm going for all 30 paintings even if it takes me 60 or 90 days. I've been painting everyday but haven't had a lot of time this past week and have gotten so behind.

This painting is #3 and also a pet memorial commission and gift.   Was great to be part of such a nice pet commission gift.  My friend Michelle wanted to gift this to her friend after she lost her sweet Pittbull mix, Layla girl.     A surprise gift she received today so now I can post it online,     I'm offering (with her permission) prints of this dog in my Amazon and Etsy shop.

Day 5 , 30 in 30. (painting #2), Collie dog portrait

I have been painting every single day and feel behind on the challenge.  I guess the goal is to paint everyday and that is accomplished.   I will be picking up the pace and hope to get as many paintings as I possibly can this month AND paint every single day!  (an accomplishment in itself!)

Anyway.. Posting this one on day 5 of the challenge.    This was painted from a photo I took of my dog Gumbo.   He was sitting down outside with the forest in the background.    Painted this a bit looser and it was so fun.  I know that face so well he was so very easy for me to paint!  I love this dog!

Now on to painting #3 but I can't post it.. it's a gift and can't post till she has it in hand.. so i'll be posting #4 next :)

I finished this one yesterday on the 2nd and I painted large for a daily challenge, so I'll be playing catch up here.   Have #2 on the easel (my dog) and that is almost done.  Painting like mad to have my paintings in line with the day of the month, but here I go!  I love a good challenge!

This is painted from a friend of my Deb Sprague at Faith Hope Love Ranch in Oregon.   2 of her baby longhorns!  Thank you Deb!

30 painting in 30 days.. January 2015!

So I signed up on New Years Eve  to do the 30 paintings in 30 days painting challenge.   It is a big commitment and while I love it.. wipes me out to keep up.    Here we are on the 3rd of the month and I'm posting my 1st painting but I didn't start till late on the 1st ..  Ok.. I won't give a bunch of excuses but I'm going to get as many of the 30 paintings done that I can and also plan to get farther in my Polish Pottery Still Life Series!     One of my paintings in the series will be included in a Polish pottery annual magazine and I really want to get farther in the series as it's been since August that I painted one last.  Yikes.

Ok.. enough rambling!  I have lots of painting to do!  My plan is get farther.. hopefully in the 90's of this series, experiment with abstracts as they are something that I love and want to experiment with those

Painting #30 in the 30 in 30 painting challenge! Italian mask still life

Painting #30 in the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. Still life of an Italian red and gold mask that I bought in Italy in 2007. Mask propped up on a white sheet which I thought made for a striking still life painting and my final painting in the 30 paintings in 30 day challenge in January. I wanted to finish off the challenge with painting this mask as we are nearing Mardi Gras season. :)

Now I think I'm going to take a few days off , clean my poor house and tackle taxes! Yuck!    I will be participating as much as I can in next months 29 faces challenge and will be accepting custom pet portraits to enter into that challenge. Stay tuned! :D

Painting #29 in 30/30 Fox painting

Painting #29 in the January 30 paintings in 30 day challenge!   1 painting to go!!

I painted this from a photo I took in 2010 of a fox that had been hanging around our property. She was around so much that I called her Betty. She'd run the fence with my dog but later I discovered why she was hanging out on the other side of the fence. She had her babies in the culvert under our driveway and was watching them from the other side of the fence because we were outside she wanted to keep an eye on us. I'd walk out and snap photos of her. She was panting in this picture and actually looks like she's laughing. Later that day we discovered her babies in the culvert (see Fox Den painting of one of the babies in the culvert) I took photos of the babies too. This is my second painting of Betty. :)

Painting #27 in 30/30. Abstract

Painting#27. Personally I love abstracts and after some problems with my original painting #27 I decided to experiment with an abstract. They are a lot of fun and was a fun change of pace as I get near the end of this 30 in 30 painting challenge.
