I finished this one yesterday on the 2nd and I painted large for a daily challenge, so I'll be playing catch up here.   Have #2 on the easel (my dog) and that is almost done.  Painting like mad to have my paintings in line with the day of the month, but here I go!  I love a good challenge!


This is painted from a friend of my Deb Sprague at Faith Hope Love Ranch in Oregon.   2 of her baby longhorns!  Thank you Deb!

I LOVE foxes..  I have painted them before after having a family of fox live under our driveway in 2010 that spurred some fox paintings, so when this theme came along painting a fox was my first thought.

painting #7 , 30 in 30

Painting #7 for me this month was painted from a friends photo of a newborn baby longhorn cow named, Summer..   She said I could paint from her pics! Thank you Deb! I do really enjoy the cow paintings and need to go out and take some references myself.  I do have a good reference photo I took and one day I will paint on a huge canvas!   Can't wait!   Nibblefest  art contest on eBay painting is up next..  starting at 99cents no reserve..  stay tuned .. :)

Painting #15 of the January 30 paintings in 30 day challenge. Custom dog portrait

Painting #15 (Half way there!!!!!) of the 30 paintings in 30 days January art challenge.   Meet Belle Marie. I got the greatest up close nose reference shot of her laying on a pillow.    My 2nd 'nose style' dog portrait..    Her eyes were fun to paint as she has blue flecks in her eyes.  I have a blue merle collie that also has the merling in the eyes, I can remember looking at his eyes when he was a puppy trying to figure out if it was a reflection I was seeing or what.. but it was the merle in him that gave him those specks.    I got a really fun reference photo for this and this was a fun painting to do!

Sink Bubbles: Polish Pottery LXIV.. 64th in my series.. 16x20 and listed!

Just finished this still life and have listed it on EBay.    I love these sink still life's and plan on doing more.   I had a lot of fun on this one painting 2 of my favorite things to paint water and glass.   Really happy with how it turned out..
